Human Connection

It is impossible to know all of the information in the world.
That is the purpose of the PhD, in order to focus in one specific area.
However, the internet mediates this flaw.
We are seeing a centralization of information which increases the flow of thought tremendously.

It took over 3,000 years for humanity to create scrolls, and another 2,100 years to create the printing press. Approximately 550 years later, the telephone revolutionized the world, soon to be trumped by the internet a mere 30 years later. This may be selective observations, but innovation seems to becoming more and more common.

The next step in man's quest for knowledge is a direct connection between all humans.

What do you think?

Until next post,
Rob

  1. The direct connection already exists in all of us. Psychic abilities are not a ‘gift’ and have fast become science fact since its days in the land of 'hocus pocus'.

Technology has also come a long way fast, I agree. Now set the technological timeline next to that of the world's religious adherence and you may see a pattern.

As humans become less and less in touch with religion, heresy is now a thing of the past (Thankfully) and science is now allowed to progress, rather than being hindered by the leaders of religion.

I cover this very subject in my book 'An Alternate History of Time and Space' (Published later this year).

I like the way you think Rob, I'll be watching your work over the coming future. Kepp up the good work!
